School Meals

Nutritious school meals are cooked in the kitchen at Provost Williams.  The catering team make every effort to provide a selection of enjoyable and healthy menus, providing the children with a choice of main courses, salad bar, pudding and drinks. Jacket potatoes are available every day.

Eating together is a valuable social activity and the children are encouraged to practice good table manners and be aware of other children's needs.

All children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 are entitled to a free school meal. If you wish to opt out of this entitlement please let the office know.

For children in Years 3 to 6 dinner money must be paid for via parentpay. Meals are currently £2.35 per day i.e £11.75 per week. Please see Julie in the office if you require a user name and password.

You may be entitled to free meals.

Free School Meal Entitlement

Free School Meals can be applied for at here. We encourage families whose child is entitled to free school meals to claim them

There is no requirement for a child with free school meal entitlement to have a meal every day. However, your child is then able to have a free meal prepared in school on days when it is suitable for the family.

Children may bring packed lunches if you prefer.  We encourage parents to provide a balanced packed lunch with a minimum of sweets and crisps.

Children may go home at lunchtimes.  All children will need to be accompanied by an adult.  If you have any queries about this please contact us.
